Tour Plan
Your driver will meet you at your hotel or riad if outside the medina, if inside the medina a meeting point will be arranged which will be the closest place to your accommodation. This journey takes you through the stunning High Atlas Mountains, with the Tichka Pass offering breathtaking views at an elevation of 2,260 meters above sea level.
The route passes by Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient kasbahs and as a filming location for many movies like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After exploring Ait Ben Haddou and having a delicious lunch , you’ll continue toward Agdz ; a small town in the Draa Valley, known for its kasbahs and palm groves. You will spend the night in one of the local hotels or guesthouses, many of which offer a traditional Moroccan atmosphere. Enjoy a typical Moroccan dinner, featuring tagines and other local specialties.
After breakfast, you will begin your drive towards Mhamid, the last village before entering the vast desert. The road will gradually become more rugged as you approach the Sahara. However the journey takes you to zagora and the village of tamegrout ; famous for its ancient kasbah and green pottery, before you enter Mhamid. From Mhamid, you will take a 4x4 desert trek to Chegaga. The journey into the desert takes you through sand dunes, dry lakes, and expansive desert landscapes. Â You will arrive at Chegaga in the late afternoon or evening. You will spend the night in a desert camp in the dunes to enjoy a traditional dinner under the stars, with a chance to see a desert breathtaking sunset and perhaps some star-gazing.
Watch the sunrise over the desert dunes is a must-see experience in the Sahara for your adventure to be    completed. After breakfast, you will take a short camel ride or 4*4 trek back to your vehicle while experiencing the desert's beauty up close. then you will take the road back to Marrakech passing by ouarzazate where you will have a lunchbreak. then you will pass by tizi-N-tichka before arriving in Marrakech by the evening.
